Compare and Contrast--the recycling in big city and small city in China

With the development of the whole society, people pay more attention on the environmental and resources problem. In order to save our resources, especially the natural resources, we need to focus on recycling which is very helpful to saving resources. The situation in China now is all of the cities’ governments have some recycling policy. However, we still can see the similarity and difference between the big cities and small cities. Let me take Beijing and my hometown as an example. As we all know, Beijing, the capital of China, is a big city. My hometown, which is just next to Beijing, is a small city in comparison to Beijing (although it is much larger than Singapore). For the similarities, first of all, both of these two local governments have their recycling policies. They both encourage citizens to put the recycling garbage into the special dustbins. In addition, the governments will subsidize the shops which sell the stuff made by recycling resources. Meanwhile, the difference is also quite obvious. In Beijing, we can see different recycling dustbins for different categories of garbage. Therefore, it is much easier for the technical people to recycle the garbage and won’t waste too much. But in my city, the government only offers one single type of dustbin for recycling. As a result, citizens will drop all kinds of recycling garbage into one dustbin. It is really a waste of resources!!

I'm curious: What's the name of your home city?

Thanks, Steve, for this post!

(Hey, in order to change the language, just go into your template and adjust, right? Or ask Vicky!)
