When I was a child, China was becoming the “world factories”, because almost all the stuffs including necessities and luxury goods are “Made in China”. At that time, I knew that I am also purely “Made in China”.
My Chinese name was given by my grandparents, which is a must in my family. In the late 80s, English was still not very popular in China, because most of PRC Chinese would like to choose Russian as their second language. I have got my English name--Steve until I entered the middle school when I started to learn English as my second language. For me, I do not like to remember the English vocabularies since English has a totally different language system from Chinese. However, I liked to speak English from the senior year in the middle school. Probably, my English teacher who is an American Black influenced me a lot at that time. I became interested in the American Black’s culture. I played street basketball with the black guy and sometimes played freestyle battles in English.
After I became a high school student, I still maintain the passion of learning spoken English, because my English teacher became a beautiful American white woman. She graduated from North Carolina which is also Michael Jordan’s school. Therefore, I got a lot of questions about Michael to ask her.
During the journey of learning English, I think I am clear about the meaning of life. I just want myself to be happy and never force myself to do something which I do not like. Just like learning English, I hate writing but like speaking. So I just speak more and write less, even though my essay really sucks. The meaning of my life is just to be happy.

Great job! Your blog is cool and the first post is interesting. I like learning about your experience with English in China. I also smiled at the comment that you were Made in China.
My only suggestion is that you change the blog language to English for this English module.
I wish to be like yours: live to be happy and just do what I want. But there are things which we may be forced to do, and we must do.
